지난 호부터 ‘외국인을 위한 한국에서의 공동주택 생활 안내’ 시리즈를 시작했습니다. 이번 호에는 두 번째 순서로 ‘관리규약 항목들’입니다.

처음에 관리규약(준칙)을 영어로 옮겨보겠다고 시작할 때는 잘 몰랐는데, 갈수록 관리규약(준칙)이 입주민의 입장이 아니라, 관리자의 입장 위주로 쓰여 있구나 하는 게 느껴집니다. 그래서 시행령 제19조 제1항에 얽매이지 않고 가급적 입주민 입장에서 관심 있을 내용을 우선순위로 하고 전문적인 용어를 풀어쓰려고 노력했는데, 흔적이 좀 보이려는지 모르겠습니다.

이번 호에서는 끊임없이 ‘of’로 연결되는 명칭들에서 가급적 ‘of’를 빼고 간결하게 표현하고자 했습니다. 이 부분에 대해서는 다음호에서 더 말씀드리겠습니다.
